Robert Raburn

Robert Raburn, EBBC's Excecutive Director, holds a Doctorate in Geography with a transportation emphasis from the University of California. From 1982 through 1990 Robert taught geography, urban planning and computer cartography courses at San Jose State University. His teaching concluded with brief stops at the University of New Mexico (1991) and New Mexico State University in Las Cruces (1992).

During the 1990s political redistricting process, he drew statewide Congressional, House and Senate plans for Hispanic and Native American voter groups in New Mexico and Aldermanic Ward plans for Hispanic voter groups in Chicago. He authored a Lonely Planet guidebook to New Orleans (1997) and focused on Colorado as co-author of an LP guide the Rocky Mountain States (1995). Since 1997 he has dedicated himself to represent the interests of bicyclists in the East Bay on a full-time basis.
