Dave Campbell
Dave Campbell worked as a patent attorney before taking on leadership
roles in both the EBBC and Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition. His
engineering training at Georgia Tech also comes in handy in evaluating
bikeway plans. Travels to Germany and Holland in 2002 expanded his
perspective on BikeStation planning and operation in the East Bay. Dave
took a break from bicycle advocacy for three months in 2003 to study
Spanish in Oaxaca and Chiapas. Like the Zapatistas, bicycle activists
"somos un ejercito de soñadores."
Dave serves as a Berkeley Transportation Commissioner. In 2004 he was appointed to serve on the Citizens Watchdog Committee for Alameda County's transportation sales tax measure. Dave earlier had a hand in drafting the tax measure that includes 5% for bike and pedestrian needs.
